LTE available for Cricket, we Need this people

Leap has said it plans to launch an LTE trial market in Tucson, Ariz., later this year, and will cover a total of 25 million people with LTE by the end of 2012, but it hasn't provided any additional details, including which markets will be built out.

I think all of their markets will eventually have 4G.. If for some reason they can't afford it, they will probably just use Lightsquared in those areas?

This will help dealers be competitive in this day and age. Just got a Verizon account for the RAZR and am tethering a couple of devices off of it. Love it.

As I understand it, all markets are planned eventually to have LTE. Getting the capitol to invest into it is one thing, then of coarse the actual build out. I can tell you that some markets besides Tuscon is also in the preliminary stages as well. Looking at spectrum ownership, I would think some markets may need to use a third party such as lightsquared due to lack of available spectrum. For all I know that may be temporary, as once most users migrate away from 3G to 4G it can free resources to re-allocate to LTE eventually so they can then start to use their own equipment(not that customers care about how it is delivered.. but I digress). But that is speculation, since it would depend on the price of 4G phones and customers willing to switch to them thus reducing the load on evdo.

I personally am looking forward to when I get LTE in my market as well, because when I am working on the go, VPN'ing into work using bandwidth heavy proprietary applications tends to be slow enough to make me cringe.
