    Wind disables LTE?

I am using a Boltz and Cricket broadband. Speeds are usually quite good, 10-20 mbps down.
However whenever we get a storm come through, like today, service moves off of LTE and over to EVDO and even CDMA. This has happened every week or so for over a month.
I can see the Cricket tower (about a mile or less, and we are in rural desert with no trees over 15 feet) and signal strength is always 4 bars.

I called Tech and discussed the issue after the first time it happened. The best he could do was suggest taking the modem to a store to test. The next day the wind was down and all was good again.
But believe it or not, whenever the wind comes up I do my speedtest and see under 1mbps and service either disapear or start switching thru CDMA and EVDO....

can someone make sense of this?
I am near Tubac AZ if it matters....

It happens because the storms cause interference. Nothing wrong with modem/service.

Yeah. If memory serves our lte runs @ 1900MHz which is a super short wave length. If the ambient air pressure is wonky as in the case with storms it can affect signal. Its science and physics. There's not much man can do about it

My work on the CDMA Cricket S3 and S4 are now obsolete. Thanks for all the support when I was actively working on them!

One more reason to move off of Cricket, I guess. I have neighbors who ask about it...I will suggest they look at alternatives to cellular broadband.
By they way, at home in Canada I have a "rocket hub" modem from Rogers Wireless (which I know uses the same system as ATT because I use the same phone in both places) and I have never had this happen....

They use a lower frequency. It has nothing to do with cricket
