    Help Flashing to Cricket

SO I could not get QPST to work at all on my Win7 x64 Ultimate at all (meaning the tutorial here in the forum was useless), so I followed the tutorial here:
My little Slice of the InterWeb: Cricket Flash HTC Droid Incredible

except without the suggested ROM instead used a Modified Stock ROM from MikRunny w/Sense 3.5 and tried to set it up. Tried about 6 PRLs from the suggestions around the Net, but no go. I got it to Cricket, but when I *228 to program the phone it says unable to program and disconnects. Can some help me with this please, in the past I have flashed a bunch of Verizon phones, but no Android ones, this is my first. Thanks.

##3424 send will put your phone in DIAG, then you can connect to QPST, if that is too much for you then get your MIN and MDN from cricket, manually program your phone and dont forget to change your SID to whats local to you. Then after you program your MDN MIN try to dial *22804. If all is successful you will have talk and text, for DATA you will need a PST of some sort to access HDR PAP and PPP profiles aling with NAI and T.NAI for MIP.

Not to sound rude, but I know how to work QPST, I used it on my old laptop no problem, but with this new one (ASUS G60VX, running Win7 x64) when I put the phone into Diag mode no com ports show up (just USB m4), but when conecting to phone via Bluetooth there are COM ports, so I'm not sure of the exact problem with connecting the phone to my comp in DIAG, going to retry with the cricket ROM I got a mirror to, but most likely it'll be no go.

As I stated though I followed that tutorial I linked to a T, and still can't get *228 to work, no matter the PRL I tried. I will try *22804 and see if that works, as for the data portion for MMS and web it can be altered through ##778 like the old school phones I used to do.

Anyone know why *228 wouldn't work though? Is it a PRL issue? I'm in Vancouver, WA area, but no PRL has this area listed, is there a way to rip the PRL out of the old cricket phone?

when i bought my new laptop same operating system you have i had a little trouble getting the htc diag drivers to work i finally found some on XDA that work well. And as far as *228 goes i never do that once the programming is correct in QPST and you have the ESN on your account you are good
