    A couple (stupid?) questions.

I just got an Evo Shift, "fully flashed" (notice the quotations) to Cricket. Had to manually fix the MMS (apn backup fixed it perfectly) myself, but otherwise everything is working perfectly, with a few quirks. It's still running the Sprint 2.2 stock rom, bloatware and all. Not sure about the Sense version.

First, I can't get the voicemail number changed so that it auto-dials my number. Instead, it dials an old number from a previous owner, and I can't find anyway to change it.

Second, I'm considering doing a rom flash (CM7, most likely, unless someone has a good suggestion for a Cricket rom on par with CM7). If I do the flash, how much will I lost from the initial service flash? Service settings, MMS fixes, contacts, etc? I'm not a 100% newb when it comes to HTC stuff, but I've only worked with older stuff (Mogul and the first Touch Pro, specifically). Completely new to the Android side of things, with phones.

Voicemail. Menu>settings>call setting>voicemail number, set it to *99

Flashing to cm7 MAY kill the flash altogether.

The problem with that is that the voicemail number in that menu is locked out, as is a lot of other things in menus. Is a full root required then, or is it just a side effect of the Sprint room that requires a rom switch to access?

Never run across that. I have been able to change the vm number in every android phone I have ever flashed.

I also got it working last night, missed some obvious stuff (like selecting "my carrier" under the menu first), the joys of working on a phone with no sleep. Now that that's done, anyone have any good suggestions on a solid rom to use (besides the ones in the other thread), or are those the best ones right now?

I just came from the EVO shift ( speedy ). If you were to flash CM7 or CM9 you would just have to edit the APN . Infact, flashing any rom on any device wont " kill your flash" just apn's & possibly data .

The evo shift has some great roms, I recommend

This is mainly directed to hitech316, but anyone else with experience/help cam definitely chime in. Flashed over the MikRunny Beta that was linked, and set up perfectly, except MMS. I've tried several different APN's, but nothing works. I know it's not a size issue (can't even send a 30k file), and I can receive them just fine. I just can't send, even to another phone in the same room. Any advice?
