    Flashed evo shift, having issues

So I paid the guy in the store to flash my Evo Shift, and for the first week or so everything worked great, except MMS. I figured I could sort that out eventually, and just let it go. After a week, the internet crapped out. I think I was still set up to access the internet through my old Sprint account, and when that account finally shut down, it went off.

Today I finally got around to running through the whole flashing process with QPST and I believe I did everything right, but I was only getting 1x speeds, not 3g, so I tried flashing a few different PRLs.. they all seem way worse than the one I got from *228, now I can't even dial out and when I do get an internet signal, it fades in seconds. Now I'm running 42900.prl because it came highly recommended, but at the moment I just want to go back to the one *228 gave me, but I can't dial out

I'm kind of out in the boonies, all new construction brand new neighborhood way out on the northwest edge of Houston. I'm hoping when I go into town I'll get a better signal... but when I was trying to flash the phone, I ran through a few different tutorials and tried a few different methods, including setting some items through ##DATA#. Once I finally figured out what the hell I was doing, I restored the settings through ##DATA#, and went back and redid everything through QPST... I'm worried I might have changed some settings somewhere along the line that I shouldn't have, and it's messing with my ability to get a good signal. Is there anywhere I can find the standard/default/best settings for everything in QPST for the Evo Shift 4G?

Thanks in advance. I really hope I can get this sorted out before I go out of town this weekend, I can't afford another weekend away from the office with no internet on my phone

It seems like my home just gets really crappy signals out in "east BFE", so it was a bad place to test efficacy of internet. Driving thru the city center now and i have full bars and 3G, sending and receiving calls fine and internet obviously working. I guess i just need to use wifi and landline when im home :/
