Data limits increased for Android users? (2.5GB + $10 per extra GB @ Full Speed)

A reliable source has reported that Cricket is currently making changes to their system to allow for new plan changes. Mainly this will allow Android users to have 2.5GB of data at full speed like iPhone users. In addition to this there appears to be two ways of getting more data at full speed.

    1. $1/50MB as long as you have funds in your Flex Bucket.
    2. Prepay $10 per GB. Max of 6GB additional full speed data. This would bring your total to 7GB per month.

What do you think? Please feel free to comment.

EDIT: Let me clarify something. The $55 dollars would include 2.5GB of data at full speed. If you paid $10 extra for example, you would have 3.5GB of data at full speed.

Seems really fair to me. 1GB is a drop in the bucket these days, and it is nice to see Cricket recognizing that. I would also point out that the 2.5GB upgrade is at NO EXTRA CHARGE, something Cricket has not been well known for. Good move on their part.

I'm really upset with this buisness model of capping data and charging for more. If this was my only means of internet access, I would be severly intrested in learning how to bypass this security. But as it stands right now, I only use it to check my e-mail when I'm not home and to google stuff during drunken conversations.

I called 611 because I am using my phone now for Internet and they said I have the 2.5 GB. I will call the store to see about when the extra G will be available. Kinda nice to have the cushion at least until I find out how much use I will average per month. I did put an app on my phone to monitor data usage and I don't really plan on much movies and junk through my phone, since my laptop is connected to the TV and that is on a LAN connection I have free here. Although it would be cool to be able to pull up a YouTube videos on the tablet with out having to worry about it.

That is correct. I took a screen shot of CID just right now. And users are able to change to the new rate plan as of now. Here's the picture
