    Can I suspend my service?

Question: How do I suspend my service while out of the country.
    Background:
As a winter visitor to the US, the big factor in buying Cricket was the ability to suspend my service (broadband) while I am back in Canada and not using it.

I was promised this would not be a problem by more than one Cricket agent. Recently I tried to confirm this suspension over the phone with Cricket and could not get an agent but instead was told by the system to talk to a store.

The manager of the store (only 1 hour away from me!) told me I could NOT suspend my service. The Cricket website says that it is allowed under certain circumstances. The MGR told me just to stop auto refill (just stop paying)and eventually the service would end and then I can start up service when I return 5 months later. I told him I was sure Cricket would want money back for some of that time but he assured me his own mother does exactly that.

So, experienced users and sellers, what should I do to keep in good standing but avoid paying a "contract" I never purchased?

    thanks for your advice

At one point you could do this and save money, but last time I checked there is no reason to. Unless I'm wrong, they suspend but still bill now.
Please check the forum and post there before PMing me. I have over 674 unread PMs due to the fact that they are issues which should have been addressed here.

While not technically "suspending", I can just cancel the service and then restart anytime. No billing or charge.
that works fine for me, the only catch is that they cannot schedule it for your end of paid perios, you have to call when you want it cancelled.

This and you also lose your number. Even the mobile broad band cards have a mdn attached to them

My work on the CDMA Cricket S3 and S4 are now obsolete. Thanks for all the support when I was actively working on them!

Feel free to PM me only after you've posted on the forums.
