Changing From $40 to $45 plan

Hello first time posting here on the forum. to make it quick i just upgraded to a new flashed phone and when i went to cricket to make the ESN number change they told me that i still had the old $40 dollar plan and would have to update to the new $45. They also told me that if i changed to the new plan I would still be paying the same. Something about the old plan having a higher sales tax than the new one. Anybody can confirm this? If not is there a way around this? I know ill have to upgrade sooner or later I'm just wondering if what they said is bs or not. Thanks in advance. Oh and very great and helpful forum. Great job guys.

    Welcome to the forum!

With the new plans, there is just sales tax. Compare it to your current total to see the difference.

Usually that is true, and with an increase in the regulatory recovery fee coming soon definitely true.

Just switch plans, if you end up paying more it's going to be a few cents or a dollar more at the most.

As the others have said, it probably will be less and if you don't change your regulatory recovery fees are about to double. Do the ESN change and change the plan. I seriously doubt you'll regret it. Good luck!

in my market it ends up being about the same, i like the new "true rate plans" since it does not go up and down depending on regulatory fees and ****
