Cool Checking for blacklisted "original' cricket phones

Hello guys, it's only been 3 days but i'm coming back for answers...lol

Well - I have my beloved Cricket Galaxy S4 on the market here locally. I've got one serious guy that is coming over tomorrow morning for a look-see, for his wife who is already on Cricket, he's on T-Mobile or something else. He's looking for reassurance that this isn't a bad IMEI/MEID, because he says he was burned about a year ago in that way on a Cricket phone. So what's the best suggestion for acceptable verification on a Sunday, when all the Cricket stores that I am familiar with here in San Diego are closed? Any particular recommended site or method? I went to one free esn/imei check site that came up in a search, and the three results that came back were #1) passed #2) passed and the #3-Cricket- "errorcredited".

So that's not good enough, lol. I'm also throwing out the suggestion to him that I can produce all my payment records for that device to Cricket, including the month I paid on that line in advance that I wrote off. Any ideas would be appreciated.

BTW in talking to him, I realized that he had no idea of that what happening with the Cricket/Aio merger whatsoever, hadn't heard a word about it. So of course I filled him in, while trying not to talk him out of it at the same time, lol.

I did not address the issue of actual trade-in or exchange value of the phone with specifics, as we do not have any quotable information. Also I have no idea if there was any point to me marking out my IMEI # on the attachment, but there it is.Attachment 4774

    Thanks guys---

If it still has service with Cricket, let him make a phone call. Solved.

Negative. I had my Cricket phone number ported over to another carrier 3 days ago. However he has agreed on the purchase on good faith, he's on the way to pick it up now.

Yes I used this site. But for some unknown reason, the IMEI number listed in the phone's software differed from the one printed elsewhere, and on the box, by a single digit. We talked with customer service, and the phone was cleared. Sad to see it go, but now i'm in love with the S5.

S5 is nice, but what about the S5 prime?

That last digit is a checksum number. You need to drop it
If we knew what it was we were doing, it would not be called research, would it?

OMG. Chris, today was the first time I read anything about this GS5 Prime. WTF man??! LOL. I always have to have the top one, I can't help it. My GS3 lasted 8 months with me, my GS4 lasted 2 months, now I find out about the Prime 4 days into my GS5!

Oh and thanks Dina. That would have saved me a few hours of looking like a ripoff artist to the buyer.
