    Hey There

I was wondering if anyone has ever tried to use Cricket's Broadband service in Philly, PA and if so, are you getting any better speeds then a phone would?

    short answer: no
long answer: your modem and phone operate on the 3g cdma network which is capable of a maximum speed of 1440kbps. your phone has a 'fair usage policy' after 2.5GB of data transfered you are slowed down to 144kbps. the modem is measured separately from the phone, and cricket offers three packages for the modem plan: "full speed data allowances" $30=2GB $45=4GB $65=8GB

Thanks for that, I'll be getting the $45 plan as I'll most likely be using the Cricket Modem as a last resort for in case 1. I'm without internet at my house/internet gets too laggy at my house and 2. For whenever I have no Wi-Fi around me for when I'm out and about
