Cricket and their new 4G LTE service.

Flashed phones at the present time will not work with LTE on cricket. Just because the phone has 4G or 4G LTE on the name doesn't mean it will work.

    Evo 4G
    Evo Shift 4G
    Evo 3D

All those phones use a 4G service called WiMax and are not the same technology as LTE.

LTE for the most part use SIM cards with the autorization info on them in order to use LTE. LTE settings cannot be flashed on the phone.

With this said, anyone with questions should read wikipedia, or other sites and learn the difference.

Will Crickets system let you add a non-LTE flashed (or a 4G wimax) "second phone" to the account of a 4G LTE plan? Or does the 4G LTE plan only allow 4G LTE phones (as a second phone) to be on the account?

I'm curious why they have to create "special plans" instead of one pay system. Whats next, special plans based on flashed phones, the color of phones or varying rates based on the time of day you use the phone...

Internally, there actually are different plans for flashed phones vs. Cricket Muve Music Android phones. But anyway, there is a different plan because the original Cricket LTE phones and plans get double data at LTE speeds. The only noticeable difference to a customer is the speed and double data. The double data is being described as a promotion so it may not last. If you use a flashed phone, you don't get LTE speeds or the double data -- only Cricket LTE phones whether it's a one line account, additional line, or whatever.
