X-LTE is a Marketing term, nothing more, by Verizon. It is not anything new, it's simply them marketing that they have increased the capacity of there network.

    hahaha wow

"What’s the difference between XLTE and LTE?
The LTE network runs on the 700 MHz C Block spectrum. XLTE, which is the same as the AWS spectrum, runs on the 1700/2100 MHz spectrum. Devices will continue to indicate that they are on the 4G LTE network."

so. . it's just LTE on different spectrum. . yea.. woohoo! oh wait. . nothing changed. except perhaps you'll have worse reception in doors
"The longer the wave (lower spectrum), the better the spectrum can penetrate objects"

XLTE is Verizon saying "We finally got more bandwidth!" but without saying "We know we really needed it, sorry for the delay".

    LOL
