FAQ: If I'm switching from another carrier, can I keep my number?

    Yes, you can.

When signing up for Cricket, make sure you choose to port your number. The port will take time to complete, depending on your previous carrier and Cricket.

After adding the line you would have to call the porting department.
Please check the forum and post there before PMing me. I have over 674 unread PMs due to the fact that they are issues which should have been addressed here.

Actually in this case you may not be able to do this. In most cases the name on the other carrier account has to be the same as the destination (cricket) account. If not the other carrier is likely to deny the port.
