Another thing to think about. AT&T wants us to switch to GSM as quickly as possible, so they can shut down the CDMA network or sell it, as soon as possible. If we don't like the trade-in offers, we can just hold out until the end and do whatever it we're going to do at that time. They don't want that. So I think they will be fairly reasonable about the trade-ins.

Best believe they are going to want some extra cash if anyone wants a flagship phone.

Well, of course it's going to work when the merger starts. The question is will it work when it's done.

    Per Phonescoop:

Samsung Galaxy S 4 (regional CDMA) Specs, Features (Phone Scoop)

The Cricket Galaxy S4 "DOES NOT" support "GSM". This means once the merger is complete the Cricket Galaxy S4 "WILL NOT" work on the New Cricket network.

The difference between the Cricket version and the Verizon version is that the Verizon version is a Global Phone, the Cricket version is a CDMA Only phone.

The other thing to remember is that there is no set end date for the CDMA network at this point. It could as "early as" March of next year, or it could end up like MetroPCS and be 2 years down the road.

Please enlighten me on how a CDMA only phone is going to work on AT&T's GSM only network? I really want to know because if it works then any CDMA phone is going to work.
