Long Distance calls Cricket + Google Voice

I notice when I dial an out of state number with my Cricket phone number it says I have incipient funds due to my plan. But when I use Google Voice number it connects through. I was wondering If I call using GV number will Cricket still charge me for long distance call?

Cricket calls from your phone are voice calls, and go through an entirely different routing scenario. With google voice, ss far as cricket can tell, you are just using data so you will add to your monthly allotment until you reach the limit, then the data usage is throttles and you may see call quality issues using google voice. But it sounds like you are not doing it a whole lot and found youself a nice niche to optimize your wallet
