    Question Mercury! Where to start?

Does anyone besides salsa and oriax123 have a way to do root the mercury? I'm just curious. Seems that these two (not to exclude others) have a couple of ways to do this and I'd like to figure out the best settings after transferring apps and former apps from my Indulge. eg. Titanium backup, CPU overclocking, what to get rid of, custom ROM, etc.
Anyone else want to travel this journey with me? I get mine today via FedEx.

They are the best choices for the Merc right now (that I know of). Suggest that you read thru the Mercury forums... Plenty of discussion on what your asking.
    Cheers

Thanks. That's where I did start. It just seems that FastRoot Plus Toolbox is the easiest, or to see if anyone has had any issues with this method. If someone wants to help or coordinate with me while I root and recovery (or FastRoot Plus )and possibly add the Stock ROM Replacement that has been added by Oriax123, Id really appreciate it as I have been reading somewhat gargled messages from this forum all night long and it's 11:00am now. Maybe I could get personal feedback, forums can be a tedious and confusing MO as some ppl can't spell, assume everyone knows what some ambiguous term means, or just leaves out a step. Hope to get the Mercury and not brick it trying to root it in a timely fashion. Again thanks for your suggestion, but I'm way past that starting point. Anyone?

I just got it. Powering the battery now. Although the light's green, I'm not quite sure it's truthful. Do you know if
    Battery Calibration app

    works on this phone?

    Lightbulb

So I'm thinking the best way to root my phone today is to:
    (1) titanium backup all system apps (this may not be necessary?) and User apps to SDcard from my old Indulge,
    (2) activate mercury by dialing *228 (therefore deactivating my Indulge),
    (3) In Mercury... Applications> Development> USB debugging, Applications> allowing Unknown Sources and connecting to computer via USB,
    (4) Root Mercury via Fastroot PLUS Toolbox after
    (5) Install Titanium backup from market to rooted Mercury,
    (6) Batch restore all User apps via Titanium Backup

    AM I MISSING SOMETHING?

UPDATE> This worked fine. Step one was the Titanium Backup from my old rooted phone. But make sure not to restore everything, such as system data. Had to wipe and start over using the two step processes by Salas and Oriax123. Works well although kind of easy to make a mistake if one has never done it before. Anyways, Thanks to everyone.

You have to be rooted before you can use TB.
