    MMS Question

I am on a rooted/flashed Droid X. Ive been able to send and receive MMS messages, but lately I've noticed that whenI have wifi on, my MMS don't download. I have to switch to 3G. Is this a known issue? Can you only download MMS messages through 3G data? Or does it have to do with the fact that I have Juice Defender installed, which disables my mobile data when WiFi is connected?

Hmm I mean, it DOES make sense that they download over 3G. Does anyone know if there is a way to have 3g enabled when wifi is enabled as well?

I'm starting to think I've heard this question before. The thing is, I don't remember the answer..

It would be nice for 3G to automatically be enabled so the phone can download the message..

on my droid x when I receive a mms and my wifi is on.... the 3g signal usually pops up automatically so it can download the mms then it goes away...it's probably how you have your settings

It seems to vary. I pretty much have to turn off the wifi on the Evo 3D to download MMS messages.

I'm really no expert despite what anyone thinks however, I'm going to say it has to do with the MMS server. In order to download these messages, you have to be on Cricket's network. This is kind of a safeguard in a way I believe.

When you setup the MMS you used wap.mycricket.com on the server line probably and maybe for the MMS proxy and/or proxy server. These can only be reached while on Cricket's network.
