I get full signal bars all day and get 850kbps max (proxy tho on my phone) and my friend tops at 1.5mbps area on $55plan ascend

Ive had one "speed test" web site tell me I was topping out at 2mbps but I know that was a load of bull molarkie.

Hi can do 480p on my droid on youtube with the low speed I get. 720P not so well unless I give a min before I let it play

Yep, I guess I should of taken a screen shot and your right it could have been a BS reading (it was my fastest although that day I was averaging @around 2.3#), just ran it again a couple times and Took a screen shot this time. This is my average right now at speakeasy.net speed.jpg
I guess I'll do more testing later, and I'll post back with more. -Sounds like my current average upload speed above might be close to your average download speed. do you have Tri-band in your area?

I didn't realize there was a thread for this... I had also posted this in the PRL thread while I was doing some experimenting:

I am south of Charlotte NC city limits. Test done on my EVO 4G w/Jiminy, signal fluctuating between 3 and 4 bars.

    Android $55 plan.

PRL: nationwidedata.prl (34113) <- tested a bunch, this was the fastest for me. The hybrids seemed to kill data rates.

Some pretty good speeds out there.
This is mine. I'm in Austin, Texas on the $55 Android Plan
    Droid X 2.2.1 with Libetry 2.0.1

Ever since I started using Masqed Crusader I've noticed a significant increase in my speeds both 3G and WiFi. I recommend it.
