    Samsung Messager Touch not compatible with Paygo $25 Unlimited talk/text plan???

    I simply need a nice new phone that is compatible with my unlimited talk/text $25.00 plan - which will not change, no matter what!!!!! Cricket rep's keep trying to BS me into changing it. It was a plan offered for a very short time period and is now grandfathered. I am lucky for that and will not change it. Period!

    I bought a Samsung Messager Touch R631 from
    ebay


    - a nice phone. However, Cricket is telling me it is not compatible with the $25 talk/text, but is compatible with the $35 talk/text plan. Huh?????? How that is true is beyond my logical reasoning. Seems like a ploy to get me to pay more - upgrade my plan. I fail to see what the difference in plans is, other than the price.

    I called Cricket Support a few times, to activate, along with *228, and it will not activate. The MEID does begin with 268, as required by Cricket, so I do not see what the issue is.

    Cricket offers such crappy phones, online, with a talk/text only plan and am wondering how to get the best phone compatible with this plan. They think if they offer just a few crappy phones you will switch to a higher plan. I am not surgically attached to my phone, but would like a nicer phone.

    Over the past couple of days I have called Cricket "Support", online chatted with Cricket rep's and called Cricket stores. I am now beyond livid with this game they are playing. So, here I am.

    Is there a way to make this phone work? The online Cricket rep told me, 'We no longer sell the Messager Touch. When we did sell it, it was not offered as a Paygo phone.
    To be sure if you can use that phone as a Paygo phone, you will want to check with your local store".

    Why such a run-around??? Why would I have to go to a local store??? She seems to give a definitive answer. Then not. Seemingly, she seems to suggest only a local store can give a definitive answer. Bizarre!

    I am so confused. Why are they calling it a Paygo??? It is a monthly, flat rate plan, not on contract. The rate does not change. I thought Paygo would vary, depending on how much you add to a card?

    If you are on PAYGo, and purchase a card each month to pay for your service, only some phones are available. If you want to use any Cricket phone, you'd need to choose a regular Cricket monthly plan.

    I am on a plan. I have never used a card. It is unlimited local and unlimited text. I pay a flat rate of $25.00 each month for the plan. I have been on it for over a year. I cannot imagine why the rep said it was Paygo. Online, my account - copy/pasted: Plan - Cricket Unlimited (M25), Unlimited Anytime Minutes-TOL (I), Unlimited Text Messaging-TXT.

    I went to a Cricket store today and the rep said that another woman had the same issue a few weeks ago. She has the exact plan as I do and Cricket told her she had to go into a store. He said he tried to put my service on the phone, to no avail. I have tried several times. I cannot imagine what he could do that I cannot. I cannot imagine what you could do, either, but will give it a try. I would be shocked if you could do it.

    He said I cannot add another phone to my account. He said she had the same issue. I have added a Captr phone, twice, to my account and never went through this run around before.

    Mine is not a Paygo, as Cricket said. They are playing some game to try to boot me off this plan. Copy/pasted from my account info, online:
    Plan -
    Cricket Unlimited (M25),
    Unlimited Anytime Minutes-TOL (I),
    Unlimited Text Messaging-TXT.
    Automatic Bill Pay - Enrolled.
