What is YOUR solution to Cricket's data cap?

If you don't like Cricket's 1 GB soft cap on data, what would you do to make it better?

    Welcome!

1 GB is an amount of data. After using 1 GB of data, Cricket will slow your speeds down.

I try to use wifi as much as possible. Cricket should at least offer their customer's the option to pay more inorder to remove the throttle. I would gladly pay more if it meant not getting throttled. I go through 1gb in about 6 days

Personally, I wouldn't pay for it, but I agree, that is the LEAST they can do.

I was reading today about a broadband plan for $50/month through Wal-Mart. It looks like that plan you had 10 GB before throttling. Now, Cricket's most expensive plan is $65/month ($15/month more) and throttling takes place after 7.5 GB.

So, just in the past year or so, we can see how things have changed. That $50 Wal-Mart plan was a good deal. Maybe too many people got on it and now that's why it's gone.

Yeah I wouldn't want to pay for it either but I mean, what else can we do? Lol and I've never heard about that plan? Do you have a link to the source?

3g data is expensive for cellular providers.

My way is wifi and 45 dollar plan on the Evo 3D.

Data throttle remover. It works on my phone. I go through about 10-12 gigs a month. I noticed my data was going slow so I installed a data throttle remover and my speed came back. I get around 2.5 mbs consistently without ever slowing down.

Wow, that's fast. I think the fastest speed I've hit is around 2.1 Mbps. I haven't hit 2.5 Mbps yet.

I'm not really looking for ways around it because in my mind that's ripping Cricket off. If a few people do it I don't think it's going to hurt much, but still.

Welcome to the forum by the way!

Thanks for the welcome. I also installed a new radii that also helped to get my download speed faster.

No its all certain files that have to be flashed in recovery. Got to be rooted to use them.
