    Cricket activation issues

I just flashed my droid x2 to cricket. I get good signal in my area (DFW) but when I called cricket to get my phone activated with a new line of service, they told me that this phone is not compatible in my area. What do I need to do say when I call them? Supposedly, the service rep said that his system would not allow my phone to be added. Any ideas?

What is your zip code? It's possible you're in an AWS market which means flashed phones are compatible with Cricket's network in your area.

I checked, and flashed phones are available in your area. There is only a small selection of phones available, and they are the Samsung Vitality, ZTE Score, Huawei Pillar, and Samsung Chrono.

For more information, check out this thread: http://www.cricketusers.com/general-...nwide-faq.html

You want to look at the section with Nationwide PAYGo.

You probably won't be allowed to use flashed phones, but in the future more Android devices will probably be added. I'm not sure when though. Just keep checking the website. The Samsung Vitality seems to be a good phone, and so does the ZTE Score. There are some reviews on the forum for both of them. If you'd like, I'll link you to the reviews. Keep in mind the $55/month includes 1,000 minutes and the Muve Music service.

Sorry for the bad news! There is the Huawei Glory coming to Cricket and that is going to be similar to the HTC Evo, but I doubt it will be made available in your area.

The closest phone to your DROID X that is currently available would be the Samsung Vitality. Here is a small review if you're interested: http://www.cricketusers.com/cricket-...html#post27312
