    Flashing a new Htc Evo 3d to Cricket?

    Hi i have my msl code my new htc evo 3d. Im currently able to get into diag mode and use qpst. I can do service programming on it but my question is would it be similar to flashing an Htc Evo 4g? And if its possible should i save a copy of the original settings that are on sprint before flashing. Any help would be greatful. Thanks

    If you're on the 55 dollar Android plan you don't need to root.

    Try this for MMS. APN Backup and Restore. Make a backup of your APNs.

    Put this APN with your phone number in the apnbackuprestore folder in your SDCard. Of course replace the part before the @ with your phone number. Save it as Evo3dAPN.xml or something.

    Code:
    <?xml version='1.0' encoding='UTF-8' standalone='yes' ?>
    <apns count="1">
    <apn name="CDMA-MMS" numeric="46605" mcc="466" mnc="05" apn="mms" user="YOUR10DIGITPHONENUMBER@mycricket.com" server="NA" password="cricket" proxy="wap.mycricket.com" port="8080" mmsproxy="null" mmsport="null" mmsprotocol="null" mmsc="http://mms.mycricket.com/mycricket/mms.php" type="mms" />
    </apns>
    Go back into APN Backup and Restore. Delete APNs. Then restore this one. Reboot (although it might not be needed).

    Then let us know!

    I had to change up the APNs and I think there were some issues with the hands free activation which made things more complicated.

    Was yours previously activated? I'm about to write the tutorial. Already did videos.

    I didn't have to change the apns just the qspt settings and mms settings on the phone. The guy had the $55 plan on his other phone so he switch his line to the 3D without a problem.

    I don't think there is permanent root yet so it would require the 55 dollar Android plan.

    Were there already phone numbers in the device when you read it with QPST? Mine was brand new so it kept on going through the hands free activation.

    I'll probably have to put a note about this in the tutorial.
