Do you have a custom recovery and root on your phone?? If so run a nandroid backup or titanium backup and flash it. I have the 3D and have flashed just about every rom available and don't have any problems w/ keeping my #. You may have to run apnbackandrestore again, however.

They are two method to get root. If your bootloader is a 1.4 or 1.5. How u check is u remove ur battery/place it back/hold down the power + volume down button together/until u see bootloader/ on top it will say which one is. For 1.4, u will need to
    revolutionary.io

and follow the instructions. For 1.5, i will to follow the instructions from here. [Guide] HTC Unlock Hboot 1.50+ TWRP Recovery + Root + Flash. Once u have root and install custom recovery. Both give instructions on how to do it. Make a backup, very important is something goes wrong u can go back. Download ur rom/place rom on root of ur sdcard/reboot to recovery/wipe data(factory reset), cache, and devil( not sure if i spell it correct)/install from SD/wait..../enjoy. Good luck to u
