htc evo 3d screen freezing after 2 or 3 minutes of use

my screen freezes after like 2 or 3 minutes of use.
anybody might know why?i was on the viper rom when it first started doing it.
i brought my phone back to stock rom and the problem continues.
i don't have insurance.....so if i don't find a fix im just going to trough it out.

i also overclocked my cpu while on the viper rom
by any chance could that been the reason why my phone is freezing now?
also is it a hardware problem or could it be software?

i would really appreciate the help
or maybe someone can point me the right direction

Are you still overclocked? Are you completely stock? Mine, once in awhile, the screen will stop responding to touch input until I turn the screen off again.
