    MSL?

Any other ways of reading the MSL other than CDMA Workshop (fails everytime) or MSL reader (having trouble downgrading hboot from 1.5 to 1.4)?

use this software to half flash it. After the half flash the msl will be rest to 000000. Thats the easy way to flash it.

Go look at the tutorial for flashing the EVO shift. The method posted there to get the msl also works for the other EVO phones including the 3D. It's very easy.

It said the username and password was incorrect for the flashing software, and cdma workshop threw another exception for the Shift method.

I am confused why do you need MSL for HBOOT downgrade or vice versa?

Thank you. Worked like a charm. Flashed it, called cricket for the esn swap, and they told me it was incomparable.

I am guessing your in a paygo market that no longer accepts flash phones. The easy to tell is if there are in cricket stores in your area. If there are no cricket stores in your area its paygo.
