Ok, so I edited my apn to match above, then I downloaded the mms.apk app and copied it to /system/app and replaced the stock mms app. I then clicked on it and it asked me if I wanted to install it and i pressed yes, but it either says "X app not installed" or "Parsing Error".

I have NS4G running Official CM10 M2. Is that app created specifically for one rom or am i doing something wrong?

you don't install like a regular app, move the new one to system/app rename to mms.apk set permissions and reboot an it's installed

I haven't had a problem with receiving sms, only sending them. Unfortunately this didn't resolve that issue.

How did you edit the APN? JB doesn't allow for 3rd party tools to edit them anymore.

Doesn't work. As soon as I enter in the mnc & save it deletes the apn. what i did was create a new apn (since none existed), enter a line in, then save. go back and edit the apn, enter a line, save, repeat. as soon as I enter the nmc it removes the apn and I have to start all over.

APN backup & restore even states when you run it or try to do a restore that it can't restore on a device running 4.0+
