    yup, tried that. It wont write apn's. Setting the apn aside giving the mms.apk file full permissions for each user reports forced closure on reboot & when trying to run the messaging app.

    as I said in the post a few back you have to make apn backup a system app an you don't give the apk full permissions just the same as all the other apps in system

    Anyone have the original mms.apk from the JB install? Thought this was being backed up but looks like it wasn't and no I have no messaging at all.

    As far as the APN not saving or deleting it's self (disappearing), it's caused by the build.prop having different data then what's in the APN. Just get es file explorer or any other root explorer, make sure you mount the root as writable, go to /system/build.prop and edit that file. Look for a couple lines that say this:

    ro.cdma.home.operator.numeric=310016
    ro.cdma.home.operator.alpha=Cricket
    gsm.operator.alpha=Cricket
    gsm.operator.numeric=310016

    If not, add them

    Works for my lowly DINC CM10.1. I was running mraab's GB app on CM10 because i liked the dark theme. His ICS app worked too. But when i went with CM10.1 JB, his GB/ICS app stopped working. So i tried this one. It has a nice dark theme. I used voice dialer and "opened APN" but the APN was "disabled" and i could not enable it. So while the APN was open, i added another APN with the same values as the "disabled" APN and that new one was enabled.

    Did you unbrick it? This phone is almost unbrickable... I think it can always be undone with factory images. Its a dev phone. I wonder if the link is a fix for all plans? Or if its related to a 35/45/55+ android plan. Im going to be switching back to this phone to start testing out mms methods again.

    I've been using the fix in the link for over 4 months and it hasn't bricked my phone once. I can send and receive MMS messages from the stock SMS client and it sets the APN for you. Yes, I have NS4G on the cricket network. Flashed it myself.
