I believe pre-paid services will crash and burn very soon because of their greed for money. Go back to the old days when one cell phone from one carrier can be activated, and or programmed to another provider. By doing this, it will save money for both costumer and provider. I'm sick and tired of hearing cell phone providers saying I have to buy a new phone when all they have to do is have ready made ROM files written to work for all phones. And for those cheap GSM phones that cost $9 bucks, why can't most providers who use GSM just transfer the phones information to their computers and be done with it.

Lets face it pre-paid providers, get your heads out of the sand. we're heading for the year 2012 and we do have the technology to transfer any phone from one provider to another being the data format and frequencies are the same. It was done back in the late 1980's and 90's, it can be done now.
