There's no good solution since you are not in a Cricket home market. Even if you did acquire an account, you might not be able to *228 it from outside a home market area. If you had DFS CDMA tool and were doing all the programming manually, you could probably overcome that... If you get the activation nag screen, that might be another problem away from a home market.

We already talked about home markets. Like Chicago, Houston, Austin, San Antonio, etc. Places where there are REAL Cricket stores. If you only have their products at Best Buy, Kmart, Target, Dollar General, etc... You're probably not in a real Cricket market.

Coverage is only one aspect of the issue. The main one is that you can't get the prepaid account you need and you can't put a flashed phone on a Paygo account in your area!

MetroPCS might be a solution for you. You aren't trying to fully flash the device right? You haven't stated that you purchased any credits from DFS yet, so that's why I'm asking. You seem pretty determined to do OTA (over the air) programming for talk and text?

DFS is a program that will help fully flash your phone and it's 100$. There are tons of cricket stores in chicago. if i get a regular account instead of paygo would i then be able to get my flashed phone activated on cricket network. ? i don't get what you mean chicago isn't a home market for cricket? just tell is it or is not possible for me to use my iphone on cricket?

can either use the ##626 send (if that doesnt work) try *22804 and if not you can use dfs demo to write the mdn and min manually.
