    Flashing iPhone to Cricket

So, where exactly do we stand with the iPhone being flashed to Cricket?

Allegedly talk and text can be done.

---------- Post added at 02:09 PM ---------- Previous post was at 02:05 PM ----------

I heard from the folks at flashtotalk that Cricket resolved an issue with text messaging on the iphone. It didnt used to work well at all. I have not seen proof of this however.

I know there was a guy on Gurus and HoFo with a solution, and had a video of it with Cricket branding and working 3G. Could have been a fake, but I have no idea. I'm not sure if he was even selling it, or if he was just being a troll. I'm going to say it's all fake until someone posts a public solution.

EDIT: Just like to throw in I've got a few iPhone 4s from Verizon to work on the Cricket network by simply doing the ESN change and dialing *228. No idea how reliable they have been, but it at least sort of works. I told the customers that it's a "talk-only" flash and I never heard from any of them again. (Didn't charge them for it, either)

I'm gonna be a troll... iPhones are stupid. People only want them because it's "mainstream"

Having one on cricket is a joke. I mean talk and text is cool if your 10 years old but I do agree people get them causer they want to " fit in"

I imagine if someone really figured it out that they would have sold the solution by now at a minimum.

I tried it out and even left cricket to try iPhone on a AT&T MVNO. Greatest disappointment ever. Came back to cricket yesterday on my Droid X.

Rich is a standup guy. If he says he's got one fully flashed, I believe him. He's helped me on lots of issues and never asked for anything in return.

I do quite a few I phones on H20 (1GB hard cap data) and Red Pocket (2GB hard cap data). Both are ATT MVNOs so the data's 3G.

I generally only put 3G on Simple Mobile. $40/month for talk text edge network is pretty cheap.
