Need Sprint iPhone 4 (bad ESN) flashed to Cricket

I bought a Sprint iPhone 4 with iOS 6 with a bad ESN off of eBay, as the seller mentioned it could be flashed to Cricket. Needless to say, it's turning out to be a lot more involved than I thought it would be. The past few days I've been going through all sorts of YouTube tutorials and all through this forum. Of course I'm finding solutions to similar problems to mine, but I keep running into roadblocks.

    • Before doing anything, I gave dialing *22804 a shot, and I just get a "Welcome to Sprint" message about how the account is past due, etc..

    • I *was* able to jailbreak it using redns0w (with OpenSSH installation). However, I get a "Connection Refused" error when trying to connect to install Cydia. I've used several different Windows clients to try it.

    • Not surprisingly, I've found that Cricket customer service and stores employees are just script-readers with an agenda to sell the iPhone 5. One guy even told me that using an iPhone 4 in Oklahoma City isn't even possible until next year. K...

    • Since I don't have a lot of money to play around with, it's kind of a big deal for me to invest in the flashing tools. I need to know that they will (and which one(s) specifically) work for my particular situation. If anyone is willing to help me remotely, I'm open to that as well.

Although ideally I want a full flash (already have the Cricket Smartphone plan, as I'm currently on a Blackberry), I would settle for half-flash at this point. I'm pretty desperate and just need to know exactly what I need to do to get this to work.

    Thanks a bunch in advance...

Yeah, I figured that the OS may very well be the problem.. I don't mind downgrading it to get this working, if I can even do that.

need to have blobs backed up from iOS 5.1.1 and that still might not do the trick if apple is no longer signing 5.1.1

OS6 currently only has tethered jailbreak and you manually have to install cydia. Just search on youtube and you will find the video from user icrackuridevice.
