    Update Iphone 4 to 5.1.1 and not 6.0

    I have an Iphone that I want to update from 5.0.1 to 5.1.1. Itunes is updating to 6.0 Is there a way I can update my phone to 5.1.1?

    Download the OS from (Google search firmware felixbruns) and a site with the name felix bruns or burns should pop up with all the firmwares. Download 5.1.1 and enter DFU mode. Shift restore in iTunes. Find where its downloaded. Do yo thang.

    that will not work if he doesn't have the shsh blobs saved for 5.1.1. Apple isnt signing that update anymore.

    So there is no way to update to 5.1.1? I tried and I am getting error, "An unknow error occurred (3194)"

    Nope, can no longer restore to 5.1.1 unless you have the blobs and even so can only re-restore to the same iOS. Meaning 5.1.1 to 5.1.1. You'll have to wait until iOS6 is supported and jailbroken if it's not.
