    [ROM] OpenVitality 2.3.6-BETA1.1 [07/08/12]

Hello again fellow Vitality users... I present you with another ROM from SPZ0. This is based on the generic Android 2.3.6 build and brought over to our phone. If you're wondering why you should flash this over the previously posted OV rom, I feel like it's a bit faster and the phone really zips along. Also there's a few other minor changes as noted. As usual I'm just the messenger... All props goes to the original guy behind the ROM, SPZ0. Original Thread:

I promised goodies this weekend, and here they are!
    Introducing OpenVitality ROM 2.3.6!!!
I've been working on porting this generic 2.3.6 update to the vitality, and have 99% of the bugs worked out. So let's get down to it yes? What works:
    • Everything

Update on MMS issue:The issue is caused by the APN settings not being set properly, regardless of correct settings in "apns-conf.xml" and "cdma-carriers-conf.xml".SO, until I can figure out how to fix this and integrate it into the initial boot of the ROM, I have made an adjustment to the current build.I have added ApnBackupAndRestore to the ROM, as well as a working APN backup (that will be copied to your SDcard upon flashing (/sdcard/ApnBackupAndRestore/).After first boot you will be required to start APNBackupAndRestore, and restore the APN to the file that the ROM supplied. Then reboot, and enjoy working MMS. ************************************************** **************This release has been tested on and made compatible for:

    New 1.1.2 ROM released.

    Issues addressed:
Issue with Phone.apk force closing on incoming call is SOLVED.
EQ audio enhancements removed due to multiple user complaints of it being too loud (will make a separate flash zip for the enhancements soon).

Is there a specific reason you're spamming my threads about CM7? Not very Tactful..

And yes, I've tried CM7. Its OK, if it was actually supported, and not in Beta. Unfortunately, the OP abandoned the ROM (probably moved on to a different device), so the issues with the ROM (and there are quite a few) have not been worked on.
On a somewhat related note: CM7 with req's kernel breaks data and wifi for a lot of cricket users either due to the ext4 switch, or differences in the wifi and data modules in the kernel. If you have found a way around that Im sure we would all love to hear it... o.0
