    Unhappy Low Memory Issues

OK, I know the Vitality only has 125 MB of space but I only have 3 or 4 apps installed and Im already down to 19 MB free and thats even after Ive moved the apps to the SD card.

Is there anything I can do to free up more space? Ive rooted and removed a lot of bloat but I didnt know if any of the other roms on here offer more memory.

    Thanks in advance!

I use SD Maid to clean up stuff. and App 2 SD to monitor and move the 'move-ables' to the SD card.
Sounds like you may have a bunch of .apks and corpses cloggin' up the works. Titanium Backup also has batch utilities to clean up space, as well as dalvik cache. I've got a ton of apps loaded and still have 26-31 meg free. I have noticed that occasionally installing from the app store will fail and when it does it almost always leave an f-ton of crap.

Muve Music is HUGE!!!!! hence the reason, plus even if you uninstall apps I dont think the Vitality will clear the cache of the remnants left behind. Good luck, even corporate reps have this issue as well. Muve Music 3.0 is supposed to provide a smaller package with drastic improvements

Personally muve was the first thing to get tossed after I rooted...then I replaced the muve SD card with a bog standard 8gig card. Vitality won't clear the cache, but Titanium and other utilities will...and after installing the OA rom from Spz0, things have been working splendidly.

This phone, for the price, has been worth every penny, imho. Once I move to a dual core device, this phone will still be an excellent backup as well as a mobile music device for me.

Can I install a 32GB SD card in my Vitality and use it with Spz0's ROM? I'm currently using his ROM with the stock SD card, but I'm not interested in Muve Music. I'd rather fill up a larger SD card with MP3s and use Google Play Music.

Okay, thanks. Is there a limit to the size of the microSD card we can use?

The Vitality can do up to 32gig external SD according to the cricket/vitality features page.

Okay, thanks again. Spz0's done some good work with these ROMs. I need to figure out how to get rid of some apps that won't transfer over to the microSD card, such as Facebook and YouTube. Each of those apps simply take up far too much internal storage.

    This Link2SD:
    https://play.google.com/store/apps/d...xpbmsyU0QiXQ..

will rock your world. Be sure to partition the sd card into 2 primary partitions and use the "link" feature. (it DOES use the apps2sd if you don't want to go further, but using the 2nd parition and linking is waaaay better.) I went from 26meg free to over a 100meg free. AWESOME utility.

    yes

I've been aware of that app for awhile. I guess I'll try it now. Does it release a good amount of more storage than simply moving apps using App2SD?

    Short answer = yes.
Longer answer = yes. It will work better than the basic apps2 stuff, but the BEST way is to create a 2-3 gig partition on the sd card. The application creates a boot script to mount the second partition on boot. It moves (when you specify) all the applications + other bitsn/bobs to the new part., and creates symbolic links in internal memory pointing to the new location. Right now I have about a zillion apps on my phone taking up over 400meg of the new partition, but my internal memory area has 136meg free. Be sure to read the application faq on the dev website. It answers all these questions.

It also has a utility to automatically do the linking on install. I'm sold.

Good timing. I just purchased a new microSD card today, so I'll partition it so for Link2SD. Thanks!
