    Question Possible to Remuve

I'm probably going to pick up a Vitality on this great sale Cricket is having, but seriously. I've been a Rhapsody subscriber for years, and I have no interest at all in Muve. How embedded in the phone in Muve? Is it possible to switch the Muve button back to a camera button without rooting? (I'm willing to root it too if that's what it takes, but it would be nice to not have to hack around with it too much if I don't have to.)

I'm actually a pretty big Cricket fan (even though I don't actually carry a Cricket phone yet), but with a Rhapsody subscription and a Google Music account, I don't need Muve. Heck, SoundHound is even a free alternative to Shazam if you like Music ID. I hate to have a hardware button sitting around doing nothing (or worse, getting pressed by mistake and launching an unwanted app).

I didn't even know the Samsung Vitality have a dedicated music key.

There probably is a way to change it, but I don't know how. Hopefully somebody else can reply with more information.

    dedicated muve key

You can see the "muve" button (which is a repurposed camera button) in this picture:

    Muve *gringacita937*

You don't have to use Muve Music on the Vitality if you don't want it. I switched to the regular Android Smartphone plan a month after I got the phone because I didn't want to pay for music I can get for free on apps from Android Market.

I think they want the application removed. Personally, it wouldn't bother me to have the application on there, just like I have programs on my computer that came with it that I don't use. There are some people that like to remove those programs though.

    Application *gringacita937*

I uninstalled the Muve application and file from my phone. It gave me more available space on the SD card but the application can't be removed from the phone's app drawer.

I would say you have to root it and use root explorer to remove it.

If it's still in the drawer then you didnt remove anything except the icon from the home screen. Muve can't be uninstalled unless the phone is rooted as avilla said.

Have you taken a look at this? http://www.cricketusers.com/cricket-...ty-rooted.html

Keep in mind it will void your warranty.

    Muve Profile *gringacita937*

Ok. I don't want to void my warranty. Would I need to make a new profile and download my songs again if I decide I want to activate my Muve Music again? I was wondering if my old profile is still visible to other Muve users.

if you decide to use muve music again once you start it up your old profile will show up if you are using the same phone number you was using before and to redownload your music you had just goto settings from the main screen and press download to sd card then after that you press sync and then after that your music you had before will redownload itself

my vitality is rooted. i tried using file explorer (free program) for both rooted and nonrooted...and it won';t let me delete the APK.

do i need to pay $4 to get "root explorer" so I can remove it?
