followed all step by step replaced mms.apk with the other one all the steps you mentioned checked all on the permissions. The only thing it didnt let me change the address mmsc because it keeps telling me the same as the mms program to force close the application.

Ok so i got my mms to work but my 3g is still iffy... it comes on for like 2 minutes and switches to 1x and stays there my speed is like 25kbs. something strange tho on the tutorials the nv file when it was uploaded in cdma workshop it says add or changed 7 items right.... well when i did it, it only says 6. can that be the reason? and i got the file from the link provided. if not what can i do to fix this problem??? thanks in advance

How did you get mms working? Are you using another messaging app or the one that came with the phone?

I followed this post. worked perfect and it was easy with root explore

I think (Pretty sure) that this is all I did...

    I followed the guide here

How to get MMS on Epic 4g flashed to Cricket Wireless **SOLVED Partially** - xda-developers

Now, when I did that, the MMS.apk included in his zip didn't work. So, I was looking for something that would. I found it in the Samsung Indulge section:
MMS Experimenting with Cricket Samsung Indulge Files (for other phones)
in the file from the first post. Also, don't forget to fix the permissions after you put the MMS.apk into the apps folder. rw- r-- r--

I also changed the MMSC in ##data# to

    wap.cricket.com

I'm not sure if all of this was necessary, or how well it will work for anyone else. It's just what I did. I rebooted my phone a couple times and all still seems ok. It's sending and receiving without any problems so far. I also want to say that I'm on the $45 plan, and use GreenK45.

Hopefully this is something that works for others, and hopefully it keeps working for me too LOL

    Edit:

I also renamed mmsprovision.apk, and I suppose you could delete it too. It seems like that was stopping messages from downloading.

I'm glad my post on MMS worked for someone!

I'm not sure if this would help, but maybe changing the PRL would work. Also, I would go through the M.IP and PPP tabs in QPST again to make sure all the settings are right. I'm not an expert, and I'll never claim to be... But, I would think that if you're getting 3G for a little while, then the stuff you did in CDMA Workshop were fine. Also, I suggested the PRL because I used a couple different PRLs that affected my signal and 3G speeds. Maybe *228 or *22804 would help.

    Hope that helps
