question on Upgrade to firmware build FC15 of Android 4.0.3 Ice Cream Sandwich

Does anyone know if upgrading to this firmware will affect my green K 45 pro, the tutorial I found says it comes pre rooted. The reason I ask is because I have rooted EVO 4G's on newer firmwares and green k 45 stops or has issues working forcing me to downgrade. Here is the link to the page I found the tutorial at..

Upgrade Samsung Galaxy S2 Epic 4G Touch D710 to stock, stable, and pre-rooted firmware FC15

I will say that my experience with ICS has been kind of spotty. Setting your APN's is a bigger headache for MMS, and GreenK45 does work. It was a bit finicky on my phone though. I wouldn't use FC15 though. There have been several test builds since that one in March, and they are quite a bit better. I haven't kept an ICS rom on my phone for more than two or three days. All of them have caused my phone to get pretty hot - A lot more than usual, and when charging, the battery actually still goes down from casual usage. That could just be my battery, though. I don't think it's the right one for the phone.

    Question Flashed Galaxy S2 OTA?

I have a flashed Samsung Galaxy S2 that is fully flashed to cricket and last night I received a notification for an OTA update to ICS 4.0.4 and I want to know that if I update, will it remove the flash?? If so, is there a way around this?

I got that too. Using Root Explorer or ES File Explorer and going to /etc/security and renaming otacerts.zip to something like otacerts.bak should do the trick.

I thought there was an option when it pops up to permanently dismiss the notification, but I'm wrong a lot LOL

If you upgrade, your phone will still have talk and text. If you have the $55 Android plan your web will still work, but MMS will be broken and you will have to fix it.

Do you know how to fix it?

I have upgraded my s2 with ICS. I wanted to use the face recongnition lock which was stupid. My MMS is gone now. Do you know how to fix MMS on ICS?
