    GreenK45 - No hassle 3g internet & Market for the $45 plan

    DISCLAIMER
The information posted here is for educational purposes only.
Neither the author or CricketUsers.com will be held responsible for the results of using this information.
It is your device and you do with it as you see fit accepting all consequences.
GreenK45 Free enables 3G for Cricket's $45 plan subscribers. No hassling with scripts and settings,no rebooting, it just works.
Use the Free version to determine whether it works on your device, and please consider purchasing GreenK45 Pro if it does.

    REQUIREMENTS
    • A full-flashed and programmed device on the $45 plan
    • ROOT access (and S-OFF for some HTC devices)
    • Busybox - I use version 1.18.4 when testing
    Frequently Asked Questions

What are the differences between Free and Pro?
Pro starts automatically every reset, Free does not.

    How does this work exactly?
First, it check's if u2nl exists in the /system/bin directory and copies it over and sets permissions if necessary.
Then, it executes device-specific (Default, Sholes, & Eris/Hero) commands to enable proxy.

It just hangs at 'Enabling', what do I do?
Install Busybox, I use version 1.18.4 when testing. I recommend using stericson's Busybox installer app from the Market.

I get an error about the 3G logo not being visible, whats the problem?
The 3G logo is an indicator as to whether there is a connection available or not. It needs to be visible (connected) for this to work.
If the logo is not there, you may have to program data settings or have a 'bad flash'.

Thanks! I've been waiting on something like this for ages. It makes flashing phones so much easier.

    This worked on:

    Verizon Motorola Droid 2
    Sprint Samsung Galaxy Tablet

I'll post more findings as I flash more phones.

NOTE: This will work on ANY Cricket plan that has WAP on it. I realize some people have old accounts that are as cheap as $30 with WAP included.

I wouldn't call it an update, I would call it a typo, haha. Left a line of code commented out that shouldn't have been. Working version is uploaded. ^^^

    Thanks for the app mraabhimself.

For clarity, could you elaborate on what having "S-OFF" means?

    Thanks,

"S-OFF" means that you need r/w (Read/Write) access the /system partition. HTC uses "S-ON" (security-on) to disable write access to /system, hence, why "S-OFF" is necessary.

In a nutshell, if you don't have an HTC device, don't sweat it.
