No mobile network data connectivity on Donor Phone (Step 5)

Lots of good information here. Thanks to the folks who have contributed to and have compiled this guide to getting 3g working on a phone flashed to PagePlus.

Here's the details of my situation:
I have a HTC One V flashed over to PagePlus and it's working fine for voice calls and regular (non-MMS) texts. I have a Samsung Fascinate I500 from Verizon to use as a donor phone and it has a verified clean ESN. I reset/wiped the phone before following along with this guide.

Everything went OK and I have the donor phone activated on PagePlus using the HTC One V's ESN (temporarily, of course, just for purposes of obtaining the necessary 3g key).

Even though the phone programmed successfully over-the-air and I have confirmed both through #737 and with a test call that the phone is working on the PagePlus network, I am not getting any network connectivity at all.

Any ideas what could be wrong? While confirming the MEID, MIN, phone number, etc. I do see that the Fascinate has PRL 53022 and the Settings / About Phone / Status / Mobile network type shows CDMA - EvDo rev.A

I'm hoping that maybe I missed some minor but important detail? I didn't see anything in the guide about loading a PagePlus.prl file to the donor phone but I will give that a try and report back about the results.

Thanks in advance for any tips / advice you may have.

I tried a couple of different PRLs. I tried one I found called "page plus evdo no roaming.prl" and this is reported as PRL Version 52515 in the Samsung Fascinate's Settings. The Mobile network type was still showing as CDMA - EvDo rev.A but I still had no network data connection.

I tried pageplus.prl (PRL version 51765) and I still had no network data connection. This time the Mobile network type showed as being CDMA - 1xRTT so I don't think that I want this PRL.

Are there any other PRLs that I should try? Thanks...

PRL 53022 Shows Network: "Verizon Wireless", Mobile Network Type: CDMA - EvDo rev.A
PRL 52515 Shows Network: "Unknown", Mobile Network Type: CDMA - EvDo rev.A
PRL 51765 Shows Network: "Unknown", Mobile Network Type: CDMA - 1xRTT

PS. I am remembering to turn off the Dial Up Networking after loading the new PRLs.

I followed these instructions for the Droid Razr. Had no problem getting the authentication keys. Had no problem adding the 10.key and I also wrote the keys in the correct spot using dfs. The problem is that when I read the data & Mobile IP the passwords dont show. the razr gets 1x no problem and I followed the instructions to a T but with no success. I also did a esn reset. Does anyone have experience with the Razr?

This is the only way to make it happen as the passwords are tied to the esn and only assigned on the first OTA if you use vzw you will need to reset that esn on the account. This is to be used just to get the passwords. Of course I will not go into detail on how to do an esn swap due to it can be used the wrong way obviously.

Thank you for your concern for the rules of the forum. Have a pleasant day.

You actually do not need a donor phone. You can use this program to flash it for free for a limited time:

Greg I appreciate what you are trying to do but as you should know all phones are different and these 1 click solutions have caused me to have to sbf, odin, and ruu about everyone i try to fix for 3G that has been 1xed. I understand your intentions but every phone is different and your "templates" for the one click method are flawed in someway. Now I will admit I think your software is well worth 75 bucks a month but not for verizon mvno's the only way i think you could even incorporate 3G into a 1 click method without OTA would involve a donor of some sort as the keys are randomly generated unless your using the same keys for each phone. In which you do need a donor phone and your support list only has verizon phones on there and 3G as you know is possible on every single phone. Knowledge is power and your 1 click solutions though may work gives you all the power and prevents others from snooping the web for guides and such. But makes troubleshooting impossible hell atleast wireless workshop offers an actual tool for troubleshooting the 1 click flaws.

Yeah nothing is perfect for sure
    I should clarify....

This 3G flash is ONLY working on Verizon phones. Razr, Bionic, DNA, GS3, Note 2 etc.
No donor phones needed and 98% success rate. A lot of people are skeptical, and rightfully so, but thats why its free. Looking for feedback. And it does not matter if the phone has been flashed to cricket or another carrier previously, you can still get 3G on the phone. Been running the 3G flash for about 3 weeks now and have incredible success results.
Looking forward to feedback and experiences.

I will be happy to test it out and give you feedback. I've got a few phones at the store I'll run it on. My question is why only those select models. 3G is possible on pretty much every phone that can have 1x. Also you need to explain to people that if their phone was 1xed before they need to change the settings on the phone or dialer codes away from cdma only. I will be happy to make a list of wat all i have to undo on the 1xed phones to get 3g going if that will help get this running smoothly.

Yes please Sounds like useful information!

Does this flashing software work on Verizon 4G phones such as the Droid Razr Maxx?

    things you will need:
1.A donor phone of your own that will ota program and one that you can swap the esn number to that of the target phone. I used a samsung i500
    2.Target phone that you own
    3.qpst and dfs 4.0.0.4 demo
    4.drivers for both phones

    Pre-Setup:
1.pull battery out of the target phone and LEAVE it out
2.place that esn number on the donor phone
3.Deactivate then reactivate the target phones esn number
4.OTA program the donor phone that has the swapped esn number on it.
5.Verify that 3g speeds are working on the donor phone

    Phase 1:
1.Place donor phone in diagnostic mode and plug into computer
2.Open qpst configuration add the port
3.Go to start clients then efs explorer
4.Open the DMU folder and copy the 10.key file to your computer then exit qpst

    Phase 2:
1.Open DFS and select the port that the phone is on
2.Send the spc you should see a device unlocked message in the log.
3.Go to the programming tab then the nam tab and read that page.
4.Read the Data tab and Mobile IP tab as well.
5.Do not close the dfs tab
6.Revert esn back to normal or smash the donor phone into a lot of pieces

    Final Phase: (Non-Verizon and Sprint)
1.Power on target phone and place in diagnostic mode and plug into computer
2.Open qpst configuration add the port
3.Go to start clients then efs explorer
4.Now on the Left side of the efs explorer right click the screen go to new and directory
5.Name the directory "DMU" without the quotation marks then place the 10.key file into that directory by drag and drop then exit qpst
6.Now go back into dfs do not add the target phone yet and go to mobile ip nothing else on the screen should change
7.Now select the port the target phone is on in dfs and send the spc code
8.Write the nam tab to target phone after verifing it doesnt say home only then go to data tab and check the box next to pwd on the ppp section only which will change the pwd to hex format then write the data tab
9.Go to the mobile ip tab and right click the red stop sign looking thing on the second bubble and enable it and set active profile to 1 then click "write current profile settings" and click the write button on the left side of the screen
10.Now go back to the Nam tab and load the prl file I prefer using 00002 but you can experiment

    Final Phase: (Verizon 4gLTE)
1.Power on target phone and place in diagnostic mode and plug into computer
2.Open qpst configuration add the port
3.Go to start clients then efs explorer
4.Now on the Left side of the efs explorer right click the screen go to new and directory
5.Name the directory "DMU" without the quotation marks then place the 10.key file into that directory by drag and drop then exit qpst
6.Now go back into dfs do not add the target phone yet
7.Now select the port the target phone is on in dfs and send the spc code
8.Write the nam tab to target phone after verifying it doesn't say home only then go to data tab and check the box next to pwd on the ppp section only which will change the pwd to hex format then write the data tab
9.Go to the mobile ip tab click "write current profile settings" and click the write button on the left side of the screen
10.Now go back to the Nam tab and load the prl file i recommend 00002 but experiment with what you want and reboot phone and enjoy

Having issues try getting 1x first on lte phones you will need a sim card unactivated by verizon and it should pop up after a minute or two should never take longer than 15 minutes the first time
make sure you have it set to nv only on lte handsets.
Need a guide for a specific model name it I'll write it for you step by step for a small fee.

Note I have not tested this on any apple product so cannot support them.

Between getting 1x and then going to target phone must be on airplane mode after esn on account is switched back
