Internet & MMS not work

anyone know any methods to get the internet and mms to work? ive tried 2 different methods to no luck with either...

Are u rooted or not? do u have froyo or gingerbread? Have u search the forums for some answers? What methods have u tried?

just tried the very last step on the attched link with no luck...

so after searching on my phone itself i noticed two things, a folder called opt that houses autostart.sh and a folder that houses u2nl was never created, i then checked my proxies they are 0'ed out but i think it's because the folders werent created or placed in the correct place, i try to copy these folders and files there and it deny access or fails to create the folder... anyone know how i can over come this?

It is only for internet though.

Other than that, with u2nl/autostart you need to be sure that:

-u2nl binary is located in /system/bin
-autostart.sh is located in /data/opt
-you "allowed" autostart root access

With the Jiminy ROM MMS is easy. Just use the APN that was in the tutorial. On other ROMs you probably have to replace the mms.apk also.

yeah i think im just going to change the rom, it seems to be the best solution. i spent 3 hours last night trying different things and nothing seem to work but i read a few places everything was hit or miss. and for some reason, GreenK45 installs and ask for permission but still no internet..weird.. ill let you guys now what i got after the flash.. thanks again you guys are wonderful!

im now using recovery jiminy cricket, im not really understanding where im going wrong, i have talk,text and web trys to connect but is unsuccessful and asks me to connect to wifi, and mms doesn't work, i get an error message that tells me to go buy a phone from the dealer that accepts mms... anyone know where im going wrong? i ran greenk45, did the mms tweak and still nothing...

If you can't get QPST to work try this for data:

On the phone type ##3282# or ##3282 call and hit edit mode and do these settings:

In Data Profile:

Active Profile:1
UserName:yourtendigitnumber@mycricket.com
Spi MN:HA: 12c

Reverse Tunel:Enable
home IP:0.0.0.0
Primary Home:68.28.15.12
Second Home:68.28.31.12

Then go back and go to Advanced and do these settings:
Slot Cycle Index:
MCC:310
MNC:00
ACCOLC:2
Vocoder:Enable
Home Orig:Voice 13k
Roam Orig:Voice 13k
LBS PDE IP: Blank
LBS PDE Port: BLANK
Home Sys Reg:enable
Foreign SID reg:enable
DDTM:disable
Home SID/NID#1:4139/65535 (leave it as it is whatever it is)
Everything else not mentioned leave it as it is.

Then hit menu and Commit Modifications. Your phone will reboot.

just tried that, once i get to a place with better service im going to see if it works right now its just lagging...

Which Cricket plan are you on- the $45 or the $55?

Other things to check: Make sure you have your MIN # entered in the right place- go to your dialer, punch in ##DATA#, choose "edit", go to "Advanced", and make sure the MSID field is populated with your MIN. Your MIN is NOT your phone number, if you don't know what your MIN is you can call cricket and they'll give it to you.

Also in that "advanced" page scroll down and make sure the RTSP and HTTP PD proxy ports are set to 0.0.0.0

thanks, just checked those items and everything seems to be good...anything else i could try?
