First Download the custom rom.


NEW ROM NO LAUNCHER PRO EXPIRED ERRORS




Then Download the SPH-M900 and Recovery.

Once you have downloaded all the files go ahead and download the Samsung Update Tool


UPDATE UTILITY NEW




Now install the Update tool.

Once thats installed go ahead and go to C:\Program Files\Samsung Electronics\SWUpgrade\Models\Binary

There erase anything inside the folder and then go ahead and put the SPH-M900 and the Recovery files in there.

Now you have to run one at a time. So what I do is I add .txt after the .tar to the one I'm not using.

You have to run the SPH-M900 first then the recovery.

So lets go ahead and do it.

Open the update tool from inside the Samsung Electronics folder. DO NOT USE THE DESKTOP SHORT CUT!!!

Once its open go ahead and remove the battery from the phone. Hold "Volume Down, Camera Button, and the Power button" at the same time until you get to the blue screen.

Now please follow my instructions and not what the updater is telling you. No if or buts!!!

Connect your phone and just keep hitting next until you get to the last step which is where you see the big button where it says ready and click to start update.

Remember do not follow any of the instructions that the program tells you.

Once you get to that step DISCONNECT THE PHONE AND PULL THE BATTERY

Then go ahead and put it back on to downloader mode. Volume Down, Camera Button, and Power Button.

Then connect it and run update. Remember you should be running the SPH-M900 file and the recovery should have had the .txt added to the end

Once that is done close the updater and go back into the binary folder and add .txt to the SPH-M900 and take off the .txt from the Recovery.

Open the updater from the folder and do the same process.

Remember NOT to follow the updater directions.

Once that is done put the ROM on the sdcard.

Reboot the phone into recovery mode. Volume Down, Green Send Button and Power button.

Installthe ROM.

When it reboots dial ##8778# and choose Modem on top and bottom.

Connect to workshop and do all your setting EVDO and blah blah

Reboot.

When it turns back on dial ##8778# and put noth to PDA

Then run Droid Flash and reboot.

Done!!!

Based on what 154-4bdu114hsaid in our forum, you should be able to use the Indulge mms.apk I've included and the telephony.db.

You will need to use Root Explorer or something similar. I'd back these up by just renaming the original by adding .bak.

-MMS.apk resides in /system/app

-Telephony.db resides in /data/data/com.android.providers.telephony/databases/telephony.db

Make sure you keep the same file permissions as the previous versions.

Just to add, u2nl and autostart.sh will work for getting WAP/DATA and MMS on the $45

What exactly the hell is this supposed to mean... sorry but i'm lost. put nothing to pda what is that? Droid Flash?

I'm not understanding these directions. Rooted my Samsung moment, downloaded the drives successfully, used connectbot and retrieved the msl but can't get qpst to pick up the phone. It detects the port its on but says no phone. I did ##8778# put both to modem &tryed ##debug#.
Can someone please help me! Been racking my brains out on this for a day & a 1/2.

Would this work for Samsung Intercept (Moment 2)?

rooted and cant even get web working...

on a forum (cant remember which one, been reading so many) i read someone flashed it first then rooted it.maybe you dont have to root it. if you know how to get web working you should give it a try!

Ok I have a rooted samsung moment that is flashed to cricket. and I have been trying for so long to, (1) Be able to send & receive pic messages, and (2) Upgrade to the new android 2.2. If possible any help is despretly needed and appreciated. thanks!!

I have everything working on my samsung moment with crickets 45$ plan! Just can't get pic messages to work yet. So I would be glad to help anyone that needs it. Cause I know how it feels to not know how to do it!!! LOL

I need help i got up to the droid flash part where do i get droidflash? IM stuck there please id appreciate the help
