    WIP - work in progress

    Required Files

Connecting the Device to your PC

    • Plug in the device.
    • Go to the dialer (like you're going to make a phone call) and dial ##3424#. The phone should go into "DM Command Service".
    • HTC Diag will probably appear in your device manager (right click My Computer > properties > device manager).
    • If it has an exclamation mark (yellow), right click and go to properties or update driver. Browse my computer for driver software > Let me pick from a list of device drivers on my computer > Show all devices > Have disk > Browse to the location of your files > Choose the appropriate 32 or 64 bit driver > Click next > Choose to continue if it throws up a warning.
    • Now in device manager you should see HTC Modem or something similar. The entry might be under modem, or you'll see some HTC Diagnostic Port under ports. Go into the properties if the port number is not displayed. It's helpful to know this port number.

You can choose which program you want to use. The main thing is that is that you set the device for NV Only (my choice) or RUIM Preferred. Without a SIM card, RUIM preferred should make the device revert to NV items.

In the settings > Mobile Data > Preferred Network: choose LTE/ CDMA mode.

Unfortunately there are many people having issues with MMS even if you use a GSM carrier. Simply putting the Cricket MMS APN in there will probably not solve the issue. Play around with the build.prop and other things. I haven't figured it out yet. Go to mraab and request support from his app.

As soon as I get a DNA (it will be my next phone) I'll attack this with fervor. I'm betting it won't be very different from the Rezound (my current phone) flash

Anyone else have a problem connecting to their droid dna? Ive tried three versions of qpst (including the newest one i could find, build 378) and cmda workshop and DFS tool. The older versions of qpst would see the port but not the phone but the newest one can see the phone but doesnt show the correct info from it and when i try to connect it gives me Unspecified error...
    Anyone else have this problem?

Are you sure you connected to the correct port? I remember two diag ports coming up.

I have this phone right in front of me and the same laptop I have done several other HTC devices on. I put the phone in diag mode and it won't even show up as installing the diag drivers. I even went to the folder to manually do this and windows won't install them. I am using windows 7 32-bit

It sounds like people haven't unlocked their dna's, Verizon made HTC lock them right before they went live.
This will open that critter up and should get it recognized.

I successfully followed all the steps but when I try to *228 it says I require a SIM card. I already loaded a cricket prl but when I try to make calls it tells me I have one minute left...

So each step seemed to be pretty straight forward. I changed everything via the DFS program and it got me to the point of getting a *611 to talk to cricket customer service. They changed my account to point to this MEID and I hung up. At that point the phone didn't have service. I couldn't *228 without it telling me to insert a sim card. Even with the sim card in it still says the same thing. So I went back through and even tried a different PRL file with no luck. When dialing *611 it sayings dialing and then goes to "out of service area" and drops the call. So pretty frustrated to come so close and be stuck. Please shed some light on this one for me?

So I found a lame work around.

    1) So it does require to have a SIM card in the phone.
    2) Install
    https://play.google.com/store/apps/d...wnent.switchit

    3) Open the SWITCHIT application and there will be an area for "Set preferred network type:" Choose CDMA auto (PRL)

Nothing really appears to change in the app but you'll notice the radio will finally lock into service and texts or data services will start functioning.
