Hidden menu on Revolution
I am starting this as a new thread as I think the one I put it on yesterday has stagnated
I am trying to get into the hidden menu of an LG Revoultion to see if I can turn off the LTE feature.
I have found 2 such menu codes in several places on the Internet
The first is a Verizon hidden menu ##program910
This works well but offers little in the way of changing things.
The other is ##lgservicemenu
I have tried this repeatedly with the SIM in and out but always with the same message "Mobile network not available."
This is a nonactive phone and this tells me it is only trying to dial the code as a number.
I have tried this many times and looked at several other listings to make sure it was not a typo.
Has anyone gotten into the LG hidden menu on this phone? If so How?
Is there another menu code, besides lgservicemenu, that will work on this phone?

- LG-VS700 Enlighten
I have run into the same problem with my LG Enlighten (LG-VS700). ##lgservicemenu works fine on my cricKet Optimus C, but not on the Enlighten. VZW has their own versions of all the stock LG menus. Browse the files with ADB shell and you will see vzw this and vzw that all over the place. An option is to get the app Any Cut on the phone There is a link to download it here on the tutorial for the EVO 4G so you can load it on manually if you don't have access to the Play Store. You can create shortcuts to all kinds of hidden stuff with this utility. Some of the shortcuts force closed right away but some do get you into the hidden menus and function correctly. Give it a try. If you come up with any of those keypad codes for VZW please post, I will do same if I come across any.

OK I have seen reference to Anycut before in "rooting" instructions but I have not played around with it. I'll give it a try. Thanks

Try *#*#4636#*#*
That's the info screen but i know that menu has the option to disable LTE and use PRL Auto on the HTC Thunderbolt. Worth a shot

The phone is probably on 2.3.6 and if it is the ##lgservicemenu is not a feature in that software. ##lgservicemenu is DISABLED in the 2.3.6 software. @alex *#*#4636#*#* doesnt work on lg revolution. @phx anycut will not do anything but waste your time.

Hmmm alot of don'ts. What does work? Yes it is 2.3.6 and the dmn LTE chip seem to be a problem. Anyone know how to disable the LTE on this phone?

if your tryna flash to cricket the only way you can get internet and mms to work is if you downgrade the software to below 2.3.6. there is no way to full flash on that firmware. 2.3.6 is a vzw only firmware at this time. I am actively working on a full flash method for that software but so far there is no hope in sight.

- LG-VS700 Enlighten
I agree that a lot of the shortcuts do lead to dead ends, but I did find a few that got me into VZW specific menus that functioned correctly. It's free so it can't hurt to try it, easy enough to delete if you don't like it. I don't have LGNPST Lab version. Every link to dload I ever found is either BS, still has the HardLock on it, or is just the Store version once I open the dload. So anything that helps me get at LG specific NV items to edit is a plus. My Enlighten is 3G only and is on the 2.3.4 firmware so LTE not an issue for me, it is good to know about the 2.3.6 LTE firmware for future reference though.

Not really, dex has a working solution. Why would you want to ignore the answer to your issues?
---------- Post added at 07:55 AM ---------- Previous post was at 07:52 AM ----------
Im sure Dex would share if you shared some money with him considering he put in the time and effort to figure this out and while others can't I believe he has every right to sell his solution. In a perfect world you could be spoon fed all the info you need.

Sean/Azintegra, now its DEX. Seriously stealing my public solutions like noobs claiming your original and selling them is just (chrisngrod edit - not cool).
So anyone that paid for this you got ripped off. If its paypal file claim and get your money back for being scammed.
Here is proof posted on march 29th 2012
LG Lucid VS840 4G Full Flash cricket metro ntelos uscellular revol mobipcs - YouTube
Seriously copy my work then try to sell it what a (chrisngrod edit - freaking) loser.
lg.flashingtools.com for the free apk
Yes it does the lucid the spectrum and the revolution.
Every time I look at the forums I see losers take something I've written and do something dumb to it, change icon and/or manifest file then proclaim you made something. Better yet disassemble and copy code line for line. Is internet fame do it that much?
Please realistically lock his threads and ban this loser.
Cricket mafia wasn't about being a thief and this isn't your first time stealing a solution and proclaiming it as your own. DEX you bring shame to something that meant something long ago.
